Terms of Service

1. The Service

ClipApply helps job seekers tailor resumes, generate application materials, and copy fields into job application forms. The Service includes a web app, progressive web app (PWA) features, and free companion tools (ATS checker, cover letter generator, bullet rewriter, and job tracker).

ClipApply is a helper tool. It does not submit job applications on your behalf, guarantee interviews or offers, or replace your judgment. You are solely responsible for reviewing all AI-generated content before submitting applications.

2. Eligibility

You must be at least 16 years old and legally able to enter into these Terms. You may use the Service for personal job-search purposes in compliance with applicable laws.

3. No account; local data

The Service does not require registration. Your resume and tracker data are stored locally in your browser unless you choose to export them. You are responsible for backing up data you care about and for clearing data on shared devices.

4. AI-generated content

AI outputs may be inaccurate, incomplete, or unsuitable for a specific employer. You must verify facts, metrics, and claims before using tailored resumes, cover letters, screening answers, or outreach messages.

By using AI features, you consent to the processing described in our Privacy Policy — AI processing. You represent that you have the right to upload and process any content you provide.

5. Acceptable use

You agree not to:

• Use the Service for unlawful, fraudulent, or harmful purposes
• Upload content you do not have the right to use
• Attempt to bypass rate limits, security controls, or access restrictions
• Reverse engineer, scrape, or overload the Service in bad faith
• Misrepresent AI-generated content as guaranteed or employer-endorsed
• Use the Service in a way that violates third-party terms (including job boards)

6. Third-party platforms

ClipApplyis not affiliated with LinkedIn, Indeed, Greenhouse, Workday, or any other job board or applicant tracking system. When you import job postings, share links, or apply on external sites, you must comply with those platforms' terms and policies. Automatic job import retrieves publicly available posting text at your request; we do not guarantee availability or accuracy of imported content.

7. Free Service; changes

The Service is currently offered free of charge. We may modify, suspend, or discontinue features at any time. We may introduce usage limits to prevent abuse. We do not guarantee uninterrupted availability.

8. Intellectual property

The ClipApply name, branding, website, and underlying software are owned by the operator. You retain ownership of content you upload. You grant us a limited license to process your content solely to provide the Service (for example, sending anonymized text to AI providers when you request tailoring).

9. Disclaimer of warranties

THE SERVICE IS PROVIDED "AS IS" AND "AS AVAILABLE" WITHOUT WARRANTIES OF ANY KIND, WHETHER EXPRESS OR IMPLIED, INCLUDING MERCHANTABILITY, FITNESS FOR A PARTICULAR PURPOSE, AND NON-INFRINGEMENT. WE DO NOT WARRANT THAT AI OUTPUTS WILL BE ACCURATE, THAT YOUR RESUME WILL PASS ATS SYSTEMS, OR THAT YOU WILL OBTAIN EMPLOYMENT.

10. Limitation of liability

TO THE MAXIMUM EXTENT PERMITTED BY LAW, CLIPAPPLY AND ITS OPERATOR WILL NOT BE LIABLE FOR ANY INDIRECT, INCIDENTAL, SPECIAL, CONSEQUENTIAL, OR PUNITIVE DAMAGES, OR ANY LOSS OF DATA, PROFITS, OR OPPORTUNITIES, ARISING FROM YOUR USE OF THE SERVICE. OUR TOTAL LIABILITY FOR ANY CLAIM RELATING TO THE SERVICE IS LIMITED TO THE GREATER OF (A) AMOUNTS YOU PAID US IN THE TWELVE MONTHS BEFORE THE CLAIM OR (B) FIFTY CANADIAN DOLLARS (CAD $50).

11. Indemnification

You agree to indemnify and hold harmless the operator from claims arising out of your use of the Service, your content, or your violation of these Terms or third-party rights.

12. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of the Province of Ontario and the federal laws of Canada applicable therein, without regard to conflict-of-law principles. Courts in Ontario shall have exclusive jurisdiction, except where consumer protection laws in your jurisdiction grant you non-waivable rights.

13. Changes to these Terms

We may update these Terms from time to time. The "Last updated" date will reflect the current version. Material changes will be posted on this page. Continued use after changes constitutes acceptance.
